SNL S41 E5 Elizabeth Banks Parent Review
Looking for the funniest, clean clips from this week’s Saturday Night Live? Here’s what to watch:
Elizabeth Banks, in her first Saturday Night Live hosting gig, did a great job. She fit in really well, and seemed so much easier to watch compared to last week’s Trump hosting. But, sadly, much was inappropriate for younger Effie Trinket fans.
FINE FOR KIDS
Monologue – Having caught the directing bug, host Elizabeth Banks directs her own monologue.
WORD OF CAUTION
Uber for Jen – A filmed piece-this time one written and starring Mike O’Brien, who agreed to return for a few filmed pieces this season. Jen’s (Elizabeth Banks) Uber ride takes a strange turn when her driver (Mike O’Brien) refuses to follow directions. The result is a fun adventure, which includes a hit and run, but it comes off as light and ridiculous.
DEFINITELY NOT FOR KIDS
Aron’s List – Looking for a plumber, handyman or piano tuner at an affordable price? Check out Aron’s List. Not at all for kids.
First Got Horny 2 U – Another filmed piece, with an all female group singing about the celebrities who first got their attention. Elizabeth Banks, Cecily Strong, Vanessa Bayer, Aidy Bryant and Kate McKinnon perform “First Got Horny 2 U.”
Young Ben Carson – A young Ben Carson (Jay Pharoah) meets Black Jesus (Kenan Thompson) after trying to attack his mom (Leslie Jones) with a hammer.
So Ghetto – Four women (Elizabeth Banks, Cecily Strong, Vanessa Bayer, Sasheer Zamata) share which aspects of their lives are “so ghetto.” Best line: Let’s stop saying that forever.
Walk On Role – Arnold (Bobby Moynihan) has second thoughts about his walk-on role on The Bureau when he finds out he’s playing a pervert.
High School Theatre – Six students (Elizabeth Banks, Taran Killam, Aidy Bryant, Kyle Mooney, Kate McKinnon, Beck Bennett) put on an avant-garde theatre show that takes aim at SeaWorld.
Black Jeopardy – Darnell Hayes (Kenan Thompson) hosts Black Jeopardy, with contestants Amir (Jay Pharoah), Keeley (Sasheer Zamata) and Allison (Elizabeth Banks).
